Immanuel Quickley and Keion Brooks dropped in four free throws in the final 7.5 seconds as No. 12 Kentucky survived Mississippi's upset bid with a 67-62 Southeastern Conference victory Saturday afternoon in Lexington, Ky.

Quickley finished with a team-high 17 points, with 14 coming in the second half. Nick Richards added 16 and Tyrese Maxey 14 for the Wildcats (20-5, 10-2 SEC), who have won eight of their last nine games.

Breein Tyree led all scorers with 19 points and Blake Hinson and KJ Buffen each scored 13 points for the Rebels (13-12, 4-8).

Down 38-37 after leading by two points at the half, the Rebels went on an 8-0 run for a 45-38 cushion and were still up 47-40 approaching the midpoint of the second half before the Wildcats responded with a 7-0 run of their own for a 47-47 deadlock.

After falling back 52-49, Kentucky regained the lead at 55-54 on Quickley's free throws with 4:56 remaining. It was back and forth for the next few minutes with Kentucky up 63-62 entering the final minute.

Tyree missed the first of a one-and-one free throw opportunity with 57.2 seconds left, but Ole Miss got the ball back with 29.8 seconds remaining after a Kentucky turnover. Devontae Shuler's air ball on a forced 3-pointer gave the Wildcats the ball back with 7.5 seconds remaining.

Kentucky shot 39 percent (23 of 59) for the game and only 9.1 percent (2 of 22) from 3-point distance.

Tyrese went nearly nine minutes before scoring his first points on a mid-range jumper but finished the first half with 10 points to lead the Rebels to a 27-25 lead at the break.

The Rebels shot only 36.7 percent (11 of 30) in the first half, but the Wildcats managed only nine baskets in 30 attempts (1 of 13 from 3-point range) as they scored a season low in the first half for a second straight game after scoring just 27 against Vanderbilt.

They trailed Vanderbilt 36-27 at the break in their previous game but dominated the second for a 78-64 win.
